The Faculty of Medicine of the ''Fehmi Agani'' University in Gjakova successfully organized the international scientific conference on the topic: ''Chronic non-communicable diseases, a public health challenge''

At the University “Fehmi Agani” in Gjakova, an international scientific conference in the medical field was organized under the theme “Non-communicable chronic diseases, a public health challenge.”

The conference gathered medical experts from the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (QKUK), as well as from hospitals in Gjakova, Peja, and Prizren, and primary healthcare institutions. In addition, experts from abroad—including Albania, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Turkey, and Italy—participated and presented their scientific work.

At the beginning of the conference, opening remarks were delivered by Prof. Dr. Haxhi Kamberi in his capacity as Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; Prof. Ass. Dr. Arben Boshnjaku, Vice Rector for Scientific Research and Academic Development; Prof. Dr. Ramush Bejiqi, Chair of the Organizing Committee; and Mr. Ph. Hilmi Shala, Director of the General Hospital “Isa Grezda” in Gjakova.

A large number of healthcare professionals and students from the university attended the conference, having the opportunity to listen to a significant number of scientific presentations in the field of medicine. UFAGJ students also presented their professional and scientific achievements developed under the supervision of the academic staff of the Faculty of Medicine.
