The University ‘’Fehmi Agani’’ in Gjakova was represented in a dignified way in the international meeting, organized in regards to COST Action CA20137-VOICES: Empowering Young Researchers-Leaders for the Future, through the participation of the dean Prof. Assoc. Dr. Kimete Canaj.

The meeting was held in the premises of the University of Medicine in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, and was focused on the role of the new scientists in the decision-making processes within universities, as well as their empowerment to impact in the academic and scientific future of the educational institutions.

During the workshops were discussed successful models for the active inclusion of the new researchers in the internal institutional politics, the creation of mechanisms for supporting young academic leaders, as well as the development of an inter-disciplinary and international cooperation culture.

In regards to the meeting, there were discussed also new opportunities for cooperation in science, innovation and academic mobility, with the aim of strengthening research networks, and the stimulation the active participation of youth in European projects.

The participation of Prof. Assoc. Dr. Kimete Canaj in this activity marks a significant step towards internationalization of our university, as well as the affirming of its role in European research networks that support new scientists in the scientific research and innovation.
