
Working meeting for the Implementation of the joint project "Hate Speech: Democracy and Youth"
The consequent meeting in regards to the inter-university cooperation between the University ‘’Fehmi Agani’’ in Gjakova and the University ‘’Aleksandër Moisiu’’ in Durres will be held during this week (on 26-30.05.2025) with a focus on the planning and the development of mutual activities for drafting a scientific questionnaire, the determination of the work methodology, as well as the identification of the concrete cases of hate speech, with a specific emphasis on:
- Digital spaces (social networks, online media)
- Public discourse (political declarations, traditional media).
This activity aims to contribute in the awareness of the students and youth for the consequences of hate, bullying, defamations, public lynching, and other forms of verbal or digital violence, in both countries: Kosovo and Albania.
Likewise, there will be presented and discussed laws in force and protection mechanisms that the legislation of both countries provides against these phenomenon, with the purpose of strengthening the knowledge and the active inclusion of students in awareness campaigns and scientific studies in this important scientific field.
The participants will share the experiences, will propose case studies and will cooperate for the creation of a mutual database which will serve as a basis for the comparative analysis and further publications.

Dr. Renata Tokrri, coordinator from UAMD, as well as project members, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Artan Nimani, Prof. Dr. Eva Teqja and Prof. Assoc. Dr. Sokol Pacukaj.
