World Physiotherapy Day 2025: Prof. Boshnjaku Highlights Role of Physiotherapists in Healthy Ageing
On the 8th of September 2025, the University of Applied Sciences “Savonia” from Finland organized an international online seminar following this year’s World Physiotherapy Day’s main topic “Promoting the Role of Physiotherapists in the Management of Healthy Ageing”. The event brought together experts from all over European Universities to discuss the challenges of ageing populations and the critical contribution of physiotherapists to healthy ageing strategies.
Prof. Ass. Dr. Arben Boshnjaku, lecturer of Gerontology at UFAGJ’s Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Social Sciences, was invited as a keynote speaker. In his lecture, Prof. Boshnjaku presented insights from his research on ageing, frailty, and fall prevention, while also sharing practical recommendations for students and physiotherapy professionals.
His participation not only showcased UFAGJ’s academic and research contributions in the field of physiotherapy and gerontology, but also strengthened international collaboration in promoting evidence-based practices for healthy ageing.
