At the University “Fehmi Agani” in Gjakova, the final roundtable of the two-year project “Hate Speech: Democracy and Youth” was organized. During this event, discussions focused on the progress of the project, the phenomenon of hate speech and disinformation, as well as the results of research and questionnaires conducted in Kosovo and Albania. The meeting was opened by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Haxhi Kamberi, while the discussion included contributions from Prof. Assoc. Dr. Kimete Canaj, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Renata Tokrri, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Eva Teqja, Prof. Dr. Sokol Pacukaj, and Prof. Assoc. Dr. Artan Nimani.

A comparative analysis of data from both countries was presented, highlighting the impact of hate speech on young people and the role of universities in addressing this phenomenon.

Students were highly active in promoting dialogue, respecting diverse opinions, and opposing hate speech.

Participants also discussed ideas for future projects and opportunities to continue inter-institutional cooperation.
