Coordination meeting held for accreditation/reaccreditation of programs and quality assurance at the Faculty of Medicine

As part of the preparations for the accreditation/re-accreditation process of study programs, on April 21, 2026, a coordination meeting was held between the Quality Assurance Office, the management of the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty-level Quality Assurance Committee, and the program coordinators of this Faculty.

The meeting was attended by:
Prof. Dr. Haxhi Kamberi, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine;
Prof. Assoc. Dr. Dafinë Kaçuri – Head of the Health Sciences in Sport and Tourism Program;
Assist. Blertë Hyseni – Chair of the Quality Assurance Committee;
Assist. Vanesa Tanushi – Member of the Faculty-level Quality Committee;
Besiana Lokaj Syla – Member of the Faculty-level Quality Committee;
Qëndresa Bardhoshi, Acting Head of the Quality Assurance Office at UFAGJ.

The purpose of the meeting was to inform and coordinate the necessary steps in the application process for the re-accreditation of study programs, as well as to discuss plans for new programs and to provide updates on the actions that the Faculty of Medicine is undertaking in this regard.

During the meeting, the progress achieved so far in implementing the recommendations for programs that will apply for re-accreditation was also discussed. The Head of the Quality Assurance Office emphasized the importance of implementing the recommendations provided by experts and following the steps outlined in the improvement plan, with the aim of fully implementing them before applying for re-accreditation.

Representatives of the Faculty of Medicine emphasized that they are working intensively in this field and will follow all procedures in accordance with the Regulation on Quality Assurance and Evaluation of the “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova, as well as Regulation (AKA) No. 04/2024 on the Accreditation/Re-accreditation and Validation Manual for higher education institutions and study programs at the bachelor’s and master’s levels.

This meeting represents an important step toward advancing quality assurance processes and successfully preparing for the accreditation and re-accreditation of new study programs.
