SCOPUS publishes the scientific chapter of authors from UFAGJ and international co-authors

On May 20, 2026, a scientific book chapter titled “Waste Reduction in Public Hospitals: Integrating Digital Solutions and Sustainable Practices” was published in SCOPUS publication platform (DOI source).

The chapter was authored by researchers from the Faculty of Medicine, including Prof. Dr. Antigona Ukëhaxhaj, Prof. Ass. Dr. Hasime Terziqi, and Ass. Flaka Hoti, in collaboration with Prof. Kamel Mouloudj, Prof. Ahmed Bouarar, and Prof. Basima Hasan.

This chapter addresses the importance of reducing waste in public hospitals through the use of technology and sustainable healthcare management practices. It focuses on the current situation of healthcare institutions regarding hospital waste, its environmental impact, and the need for transformation toward more efficient and ecological systems.
