In regards to the development of the professional work-placement and the implementation of the knowledge gained during the lectures, PhD. Assistant Vanesa Tanushi has organized a study activity with the students of two departments: Nursing and Public Health. This activity was realized in the Home for the Elderly in Gjakova, and aimed the deepening of the practical knowledge of students in regards to the care and services that are provided for the elderly people.

During the visit, the students were able to get to know closely with the organizational structure of the institution, with the challenges that elderly people face, the custody staff, as well as the methods of application of the nursing care and public health in practice. This activity contributed in the students’ professional development, providing them concrete experiences, and helping them intertwin theory with practice.
