The teachers from the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Ass. Dr. Skender Ukaj, Prof. Ass. Dr. Arben Boshnjaku, Prof. Ass. Dr. Rilind Obërtinca have managed to publish the findings of their latest paper called “Systemic inflammatory response to cemented and uncemented total hip arthroplasty with PMMA bone cement” (https://rdcu.be/eQVxK) in the prestigious journal from the United Kingdom “Scientific Reports” as part of the “Nature” group.

The journal in question has an impact factor of 3.9 and is also the third most cited journal in the world.

This paper investigates the impact of synthetic cement as an auxiliary surgical component in patients who have hip joint replacement prostheses placed on the generation of inflammatory reactions. The findings of this research are expected to contribute to providing new knowledge for academics, clinicians, and patients with hip problems and in need of hip replacement.
