Professors and students of the Faculty of Medicine are participating in a training in Ghent, Belgium

In Ghent, Belgium, under the organization of Artevelde University of Applied Sciences, Ghent, Belgium, from 28.01.2023 to 04.02.2023, the global level training in the field of Palliative Care IPPE is being held.

In this training, in addition to the participants from different countries of Europe, the USA and Africa, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Faton Hoxha and Ass. Muhamet Kadrija, as well as four students from the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing department, Eurolinda Lushaj, Edmond Kabashi, Merlanda Gacaferi and Samira Sadrija.

The main aim of the training on "Palliative and end-of-life care" is to give students and staff from the clinical field the opportunity to collaborate in international, cross-cultural and interdisciplinary teams for the care of clients at the end of their life (care palliative).

The training summary consists of various topics: communication, pain and symptom control, complementary care, spiritual and existential pain, ethical aspects and medical decisions for the end of life, euthanasia, palliative care and patients' rights. In order to integrate better, our students are divided into different groups, so they will get the best experiences from the training.

At the end, students receive a certificate of participation and a transcript of notes signed by the program coordinators, accredited to the principles of the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).
