The Assistant of the Faculty of Medicine at the University “Fehmi Agani” in Gjakova, Rilind Obërtinca, has been honored with the ‘Young Researcher of the Year’ award at the World Congress of Football Science held in Groningen, Netherlands.

Mr. Obërtinca is pursuing his doctoral studies in the international program 'Science and Health in Football,' based at the Institute of Sports and Preventive Medicine at Saarland University, Germany. Ass. Obërtinca led an extensive research project on the effectiveness of an innovative injury prevention program called 'FUNBALL.' This program has shown very promising results, reducing the risk of injuries by a significant figure of 31%.
